Kakuhiro Rod is a bamboo rod maker that continues to craft bamboo rods using carefully selected Japanese-grown hachiku bamboo.

The newly arrived T86S-I #4 is our shop’s special-order original 5-piece model.
Despite being a 5-piece rod, it does not sacrifice action and is finished to an excellent standard. It is recommended not only for easy transport, but also for anglers who travel long distances or use public transportation to go fishing.

By making the rod hollow-built, stiffness is added while producing a unique action.
The flame-finished treatment is part of the heat-tempering process and results in a beautiful, distinctive brown color.

The ferrules are pipe-style; when assembled, they fit very smoothly, with the male joint designed to insert deeply. They are engineered with both weight reduction and action in mind.

The T86S-I #4 model features a slow action with a soft parabolic bend that flexes throughout the entire rod.

With its distinctive casting feel, it delivers the true character of bamboo, allowing anglers to fully enjoy the fight even with small fish.
