This rod is an original design by Takahisa Sugisaka.

The BTS Rod takes its name from the initials of Big Trout & Salmon.

It was developed through the precise distribution of composite materials—fiberglass and carbon—to ensure that even exceptionally large fish can be fought and landed reliably without being lost.
While maintaining a supple feel, the rod delivers powerful torque and enables smooth, effortless casting.

The blank is finished in red, and the grip is crafted from a combination of wood and cork.
With continued use, it fits comfortably in the hand and develops a rich, distinctive character.

Its honest, well-balanced action allows it to perform well with a wide range of fly lines.

This is a beautiful rod built with special, high-quality components.

The recommended line is a AFTMA #8 Spey line.
